Coming out of political and social upheaval the DRC ( Democratic Republic of Congo ) is slowly seeing investment shift back to agriculture with farming of crops that are traditional to the region such as coffee.

Being a land locked country, getting coffee or and crop out of Congo has its challenges as the crop needs to be delivered to a port in an adjoining country. This may sound simple enough but robbery and theft of transport vehicles is common.

We have selected three coffees from Congo each showcasing how different a coffee with the same processing and same varietal.

This selection sits right in the middle flavour wise of the other two selections, medium body, subtle red wine but with softer characters like bergamot.

We recommend this coffee be used as espresso
